Our prints are a unique collection of photographs
of exhibition quality, carefully selected by the photographer, and
printed by us. Most of our prints are not in limited editions. Any
limited editions will be carefully marked as such.
An unsolicited testimonial from one customer:
“I am very pleased with [the prints] and they will
be going into a prominent position in my family room. I think
they are even better than I had anticipated…” |
Once selected for inclusion on the Fine Print site, each image
is prepared with great care to ensure that the finished work reflects
the true intention of the photographer, with vibrant, accurate colours,
and fine detail.
Our prints are ideal for home and office display, and make an ideal
gift.
Prints
are supplied “bare”, without a matte (mount) or frame.
This leaves you free to chose how best to frame your print for display.
How are the Prints made?
Our colour prints are printed using an Epson 7600 large format
professional printer, fitted with “Ultrachrome” inks
from Epson.
This printer and ink combination is, in our opinion, the best option
to provide both true photographic quality and long print life.
We use an expensive, heavyweight (308gsm for
prints up to and including A2 in size, a little lighter for larger
prints) , acid-free fine art paper known as Hahnemühle Photo
Rag for our colour prints. This paper has an excellent colour “gamut
“ (the range of colours it is capable of reproducing), with
a matte surface, and just a hint of texture.
Sizes
All our prints are available in various sizes. Please check our
“how to buy”
page for more information about sizes.
Black and White
Our B&W prints are also printed on Photo Rag. By using the
latest printing technology, our B&W prints exhibit extremely
fine tonality, with deep blacks and smooth tonal gradations.
The excellent print quality is further enhanced by the paper’s
matte finish, which “draws you in” to the image.
In our opinion, our B&W prints equal or exceed the quality
obtainable in the traditional darkroom.
Unique range
We offer a unique range of prints. They are not currently available
for purchase though other outlets. We include some highly original
composite prints, made up of several images to create one print.
The Saffron Walden print, by Quentin Bargate, is an example.
Colour
Management
We use advanced colour management software and hardware to deliver
true and vibrant colours.
Only by taking the time and trouble to ensure we use a fully colour
managed workflow are we able to ensure the quality of our prints
meets our quality standards – and yours.
Sending you the prints – what you receive
Your prints are dispatched in sturdy cardboard tubes. Accompanying
each print is a certificate of authenticity, with the number of
the print, name of the print and date produced included. The certificate
is signed by both the photographer and by a director of Barleigh
Graphic Design Ltd.
You will also receive a hard copy of your receipted invoice. You

simply by logging on!
Caring for your prints
All photographs will fade to some degree over time. You can maximise
the lifespan of your prints by following our care instructions,
also included with your print. Most importantly, you should only
display your prints under UV protecting glass, away from direct
sunlight or bright lights.
Please note that all print sales are subject to our terms
and conditions, which you will be asked to accept each time
you purchase a print from us.

We hope you enjoy your prints for many years to come. Please also
check out our “how to buy”
page, and browse the site.
